Tara Barthel began her career as an attorney in wealth, estate, and charitable planning by working with Tim Voorhees beginning in 1997. She enjoys all aspects of wealth planning, but as a professional Christian mediator for over two decades, Tara has a particular interest in helping clients who are facing complicated relational issues in their families, businesses, and non-profit organizations and churches.
Tara also serves as a Case Manager at Family Office Law. In this role, she unites and coordinates the entire adviser team (financial, estate, philanthropic, insurance, investment, and life planning) as they work strategically to create and implement family wealth plans that accomplish the heartfelt purposes of our clients.
Tara earned her law degree and M.B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and her B.A. in psychology from Augustana College (Illinois). Currently enrolled at Reformed Theological Seminary and pursuing her Master's degree in Religion, Tara has been married to her husband, Fred, for nearly twenty-five years. They have two daughters—one elementary aged, and one a Malone Scholar at Stanford Online High School.
